Broken Toyz - Out Of The Box 2001 (Hard Rock) USA
Fine Texas, blues based, hard rock band, who released this ep and in 2003, a full blown album.Theres all you might expect: great riffing, catchy songs, and a fantastic vocalist in Robert Sykes (ex Letchen Grey), who's voice has much in common with Shotgun Symphony/Intruder frontman Tracy White.
Broken Toyz also cover, the Letchen Grey tune "Sexy Sadie".

Fine Texas, blues based, hard rock band, who released this ep and in 2003, a full blown album.Theres all you might expect: great riffing, catchy songs, and a fantastic vocalist in Robert Sykes (ex Letchen Grey), who's voice has much in common with Shotgun Symphony/Intruder frontman Tracy White.
Broken Toyz also cover, the Letchen Grey tune "Sexy Sadie".

When Riot split up in 1984, founding member Mark Reale formed this band and released one demo in 1985 before reforming Riot a few years later.The quality isn't very good, but keep in mind that it's a demo, and it was recorded from a radio broadcast. The demo itself is probably impossible to find.. Too bad Riot never re-recorded this song, as it's really good.

Great hard edged Melodic Rock with some stabbing keys (parping) akin to bands like Javan, Purple Heart and the guitar crunch of German rockers Shagreen and Bonfire. Fiery riffs with a gritty vocalist (no accent) who should probably be singing Heavy Metal, but sits quite nicely with Blue Thunders particular brand of rock. A band seemingly "luckless" with two deaths in recent years. Famous names such as Celtic Frost, Coroner and China are some examples of successful Swiss bands. Now we have to check the debut album of Appearance Of Nothing. The style can be described as progressive, think in the style of Dream Theater, Symphony X, VandenPlas, Secrecy and several more examples could be named. What immediately strikes me is the great production of the CD, the person who is responsible for this is Markus Teske. He previously worked with Symphony X, Vanden Plas just to name a few. If you like Led Zeppelin, then have I got a band for you! I'm surprised this isn't considered a classic? Heavily guitar-driven music with interesting, Zeppelinesque vocals by T. A. Khin. Solos that would make Black Sabbath fans nod in appreciation. 'Take Me Home' had some success, being used in a film & played on the radio. NJ kind of disappeared after this CD.
