This is true 80's commercial rock with a foot in Glam and the other in AOR -- with hooks galore, plenty of big vocals and smokin' guitar work, this once elusive CD deserves a spot in any rock music collection!!

Sleezy Canadian hard rock along the same lines as THD, Strawman, & Slash Puppet (although not as good as Slash Puppet). "My Deep Religion" was the stand-out track that I remember most. Worth picking up in the 12-18 dollar range if you like any of the aforementioned bands.Whiplash1972

Kid Cyote was a Texas band based out of Dallas/Fort Worth. All great guys - another incarnation of them is "Sly Wolf" - don't know if Sly Wolf did any recordings though. I do remember they made a video which may be floating out there somewhere. Mikel Scott is now in Auralast (Michael Anast)-- www.auralast.com - They are a band based out of Arizona. Another short-lived hard rock band coming from Beaumont, appeared on “Star Search” twice (winning at least once) although Jay Hollander was their vocalist at that time.  It seems like they were caught between both a Hard Rock image (earlier) and more of a later-90’s Glam image later. This 8-song full-length album/demo came out in 1990 through Hobo Records while the song “Rock Candy” is a cover from Montrose. The album having strong melodies, great hooks and very catchy songs with solid musicianship (incredible vocalist and guitarist!) and fantastic production. The main problem here is their musical direction that was becoming more unclear as time was wearing on. In any case this one is also hyper rare for die hard collectors.(MR.COM)

California based band acted in the early 90s but never got the chance to got a record deal. They had strong songwriting, nice stage performance and big fan base. They play in many local clubs include Gazzarris and Whiskey a Go Go among others. Excellent song writing with a mad ax-man who can really shread when he wants to.

Producer and musician John Philip is actually one John Philip Kurzweg, from Tallahassee Florida, who first became known for his work with successful post-grunge bands Creed and Puddle of Mudd in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but also playing keyboards for Rick Springfield. In the late 1980s Kurzweg signed as a solo artist with Atlantic Records, and released a record in February 1987 under the name John Philip (his middle name).The album, Wait for the Night (which Ken Scott produced/recorded the first half of) received mostly positive reviews and some airplay for a few weeks but then virtually disappeared from the landscape. After this experience Kurzweg started producing other artists, at first mostly in the Florida-Georgia area. Imagine a combination of Henry Lee Summer and Michael Morales and you will be in the mood of this record.(MH)

Great album this. David Dennis has a unique voice and Neil Zaza is a shred master so obviously they're going to produce some great tracks. Bright Lights, Hungry For Emotion, Wild And Forever, Attitude (Hey You!), Can't Stop Rockin' and the fantastic closing ballad Carolyn make this a must for any melodic hard rock fan.(edw)

I Saw the Rain” is another rarity that need to be discoverd. Released in 1995 on a small US indie label, combines excellent slice of melodic AOR/Rock with a nice touch of keys and some really catchy tunes like the powerful “Lines in the Mirror” or the rockin’ “On and On”.
