"BSA" first album was a hard edged pop rock with a couple of decent tunes and some nice guitar work. With "Some Like It Hot" came a change in image and sound, with the tunes taking on a more straight ahead melodic rock stance, but still with pop rock sensibilities helped by the keys being noticeably higher up in the mix. "Hold Me down" and "Some Like It Hot" are good rockers and the standout tracks. 3 by 5 is a different animal. A 3track ep of fine Aor, that showed a marked improvement in songwriting and vocals, with Bill Blake taking the mic on all the tracks, and original member Gary Spaniola (guitar/vocals) sitting it out, contributing to the production only. (he's produced all the albums). Concentrate on acquiring the ep, then work your way back. Or find the compilation CD that includes 8 tracks of the first album, 5 from the 2nd, and all of their excellent ep. The CD also has a secret live version of "Time to Move" from their first album.
Gary Spaneola also has a solo album entitled "Project One (1986,Track Records)
