Yale Bate started out as a pure AOR band from the small Swedish town of Lidingo (near Stockholm), but in 1990 they changed into more of a melodic hard rockin' act. The first four tracks on this unofficial compilation from 'Time Warp Records' contain songs recorded as singles between 1987-1990. The final four were taken from the independently released EP (produced by Tommy Denander) from 1988. The sound on this recording is rough in places, but the musical quality nevetheless shines through.....The band subsequently released their only full length LP, "Business Or Pleasure," in 1990 on the tiny Swedish label City Records. After splitting not long after the LP release, members went on to other great Swedish bands such Yeah Bop Station, Sha-Boom, Jekyll 'N Hyde and Talisman.
