"Karroll Brothers" perplexes me, because it does contain some decent material, but it seems tame when considering the band's self-proclaimed "high energy rock" status. Most of what can be found here is decent, if unremarkable, classic rock with slight AOR flourishes. Synths can be found all over the place, but only as a means of coloring the arrangements. The melodies seem to be the downfall here, as they do little to enhance the memorability of the material. Most of the tracks here are midtempo and lackadaisical, doing little to create dynamic peaks and valleys.
